Our Practice

Being born and raised in St. Catharines himself, Dr. DenBak takes great pride in being able to care for his community through his optometry practice. Dr. DenBak graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1998 and immediately returned to his hometown to begin honing his trade.

Dr. DenBak is extremely passionate about his practice and spends his extra time refining it in terms of its operations and its future. Dr. DenBak also loves spending time with his beautiful family. He enjoys the outdoors and does his best to make time for camping and sailing, as the weather permits.

Dr. Amar Choksi graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2006 after moving from his home of Mumbai, India as a teenager. Dr. Choksi is a passionate advocate for children’s vision and believes in early eye exams to best prevent future complications. He is insistent on addressing vision problems before they turn into learning problems.

Dr. Choksi is also passionate about reading and learning, and spends his extra time researching contemporary developments in the field of optometry and enjoying leisure literature. He greatly enjoys travelling and spending time with his wife and family.

Dr. Kelly Walker is the newest member of our team of optometrists at EyeCare Niagara, joining us after practicing in the Greater Toronto area for almost 10 years. Dr. Walker graduated from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry in 1997. She provides comprehensive care to all of her patients and is always excited to accept new families into the practice.

Dr. Walker grew up in Stoney Creek and moved to the Niagara Area in 2006 with her husband to start their family. A proud mother of two, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as getting active through CrossFit.

Krista-Lee has been with the EyeCare Niagara team since 2004 and is one of our frame and lens specialists. As a Certified Optometric Assistant since 2006, Krista-Lee has well over a decade of experience helping our patients find their perfect frames and lenses. With exceptional training and expertise in frame repairs and adjustments, you can count on Krista-Lee to “doctor” your glasses whenever it’s needed.

Rose-Anne has been a Certified Optometric Assistant since 2004 and is our go-to for nearly everything! Rose-Anne is a friendly face at reception, welcoming our clients, and assists with contact lens training and frame selection. Rose-Anne has been an integral part of the EyeCare Niagara team since 2007.

Yvonne will be celebrating 20 years with us at EyeCare Niagara in 2020. Yvonne knows our clinic like the back of her hand and can offer guidance at any point during your visit. She offers assistance for everything from pretesting to frame selection, and her passion for people is a huge asset to our practice.

Katrina is one of our newest team members, joining our practice in 2017. Katrina has a huge variety of skills and is extremely talented when it comes to assisting our patients with finding their perfect frames; her integrity and sense of style are incomparable. These are further demonstrated in her carpentry and woodworking projects, which you can find at local craft shows (or online at katienhollingshead.wixsite.com/handmade).

Margaret is our newest team member, joining us in 2017. Margaret is very friendly and extremely talented, able to assist our patients with anything from pretesting to retinal imaging. Don’t hesitate to ask her a question, because she is sure to be able to find the answer. Margaret enjoys painting and photography, and spends her free time with her family.
